Gucci New York Flagship
The construction of this new 18-story, 112,000sf structure involved the reconstruction of two buildings located on the corner of 54th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City into one building. The corner building, designated as 685 Fifth Avenue, underwent a complete gut-rehabilitation with only the structure and the brick/terracotta façade remaining.
The Gucci Boutique and support areas were fit-out and the storefront was entirely replaced with a limestone veneer. The first four floors of the combined building was designed as an open atrium for the boutique. Storage and support space for the boutique are located in the basement and on the fifth and sixth floors.
